First Major Snow

Eliana took her first trip to see a major pack of snow on Saturday. We went to the Big Four Ice Caves outside of Granite Falls. The weather was a bit rainy on our hike in, but we still loved looking at all the snow and the ridiculous people who were trying to walk on the huge ice pack. They somehow missed the sign that said, "Beware of getting too close to the ice pack...there was a huge avalanche last week and the snow is unstable." We ate our picnic lunch and enjoyed the view of the snow pack that actually buried the ice caves.

After the hike, Eliana got to hang out with her newest friend, Lillian Schlameus, for a pint at the Elysian. What a great Saturday!!

Looking at this picture in more detail, I see that Eliana's face is in very close proximity to Nate's Chaco...hmmm, those Chacos are not the nicest smelling things, but she didn't seem to mind it

















Lillian and Eliana were the same weight at birth (7 lbs. 6 oz) and it's amazing to see how little Lily is....could Eliana really have been that small? Eliana looks forward to many more pints with her friend Lily.
