6 Months

Happy 1/2 Birthday, Elle Belle!!

6-month measurements:
Weight: 17 lbs 5 oz (75% tile)
Height: 26 inches (58% tile)
Head circumference: 43.8 cm (84% tile)

New places visited: Steamboat Springs, CO; the North Cascades National Park, WA, Rattlesnake Ridge hike, WA.

Favorites: blowing bubbles/raspberries (sounds like a whoopee cushion), taking showers, playing in the Exersaucer, textures - the wall next to her changing table is getting many fingerprints since she likes to scrape her fingers over it while getting her diaper changed, eating with Mom and Dad and trying new foods (rice cereal, avocado, bananas), looking at ceiling fans/lights, rolling the ball back and forth and changing positions from back-to-tummy in her crib. And, she loves to watch for when her Daddy comes home from work - it is so precious to see her light up, giggle and laugh when he walks in the room. Happy 6 months, Pumpkin, we love you so much!

I love playing with mom and dad's exercise ball, even though it's 10x bigger than me!

Steamboat Springs

Eliana had her first trip to Steamboat last week with Grandma and Grandpa Dahlgren and Auntie Amy. On the drive from Ft. Collins to Steamboat, we stopped at Chambers Lake to say hello to the Dahlgren camping clan and were lucky enough to spot some moose on our way over Cameron Pass.

Thank you to Grandma and Grandpa for taking care of Elle Belle while Mom and Auntie Amy got to hike the Zirkel Circle - that was the longest Eliana had been away from Mom (7:00 am - 4:30 pm) and Grandma and Grandpa sure had their work cut out for them. Thank you! Next year we promise that Dad can go, too, so he and Grandpa can hit up the rivers. We missed you, Daddy!

Loving the pool time with Auntie Amy

Eliana loved looking out the deck at the aspen trees and she giggled when the wind rustled the leaves - such easy entertainment:)

Eliana was not so sure what to make of the sulphur springs...

Loving all colors and textures so much that Eliana wanted to eat the table at the Rio

First Solid Food

Eliana tried rice cereal yesterday for the first time. She liked the red bowl more than the food, but this is all experimentation, right? We're really excited to share meals with her and the joys of eating; such a fun time.

Me and Beckett

Eliana was lucky to have her Uncle Matt, Aunt Lindsey and cousin Beckett come stay with her in Seattle on July 30-Aug 1. Even with Uncle Matt's crazy medical school schedule, they were able to drive up and visit. What a treat! Eliana got to play, go for a run, go to Discovery park and picnic, and went to the Woodland park zoo for the first time. Come back soon, Becks!!

Pajama play time!
