Recent Faves

Before we head off to Colorado for a couple weeks, I wanted to post some favorite shots since I'm sure she'll change in the weeks we're gone. Our little punkin' is getting so big and full of life now!

First Swim

Eliana was so lucky to be invited to Jan Schlameus' house for her first swim on July 8th. It was in the 90's in Seattle, so it was the perfect day. She got to paddle around with her friends, Lillian and Emery. She loved it and can't wait to go again!

First 4th of July

Thanks to our dear friend, Bonnie Williams, for my cute outfit!

The weather in Seattle was rainy and Aunt Amy and Daddy took good care of me while my Mom had a bad case of a GI bug. I even slept through all the fireworks!!

Finally meeting my Auntie Amy

Amy and Eliana could not wait for this day, and it finally came on Thursday, June 24 in Spokane at our friend's house (see post below). For Amy's Ironman, we stayed in Blanchard, ID just 40 miles north of Coeur D'Alene. We spent a few days after the race hanging out with Grandma, Grandpa and Auntie Amy before heading back to Seattle. Eliana and I were lucky enough to have Auntie Amy ride home with us from ID and stay a couple days with us before the 4th. What a relief since I ended up getting a nasty stomach virus and was laid up for 3 days. Auntie Amy and Daddy to the rescue and Elle Belle loved having time with them both!! Below are some pictures of our time hanging out at the condo in Blanchard, ID. We miss you, Auntie!

Auntie has the magic touch!

Open your eyes, Grandma! Had to post this one because of Elle Belle's cute smile.

We took a day trip to Sandpoint and this was our lunch location

Oops, sorry Grandpa, but I peed on your leg!

"Amy Dahlgren, YOU ARE AN IRONMAN!!!"

That's what the announcer says when you've completed the following: 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and 26.2 mile run. And, it sends goosebumps up your body to see what these athletes have completed in one day. A HUGE congratulations to Amy on finishing her first IronMan on June 27 in Coeur D'Alene. We didn't make it there for the start at 6:30 am, but we were there at the finish line at 10:30 pm. Amazing!!! We're so proud of you, Auntie Amy, and what a perfect way for Eliana to meet her aunt for the first time than cheering you on at the race and then spending days recovering with you. You're an inspiration to us all, Amy!!

Eliana was Auntie's Biggest Fan

The pots and pans were Michelle Pickard's idea; she and Anna used them to cheer Amy, Nate and I on when we did our Half-Ironman at Lake Stevens in 2008 - it was the perfect cheering tool!

Just after the finish to congratulate Amy (and yes, it was totally dark - what a long day of racing)

Taking some photos the next day in daylight - again, Congrats to Amy. We are so proud of you and love you so much!

Our Lil' Ray of Sunshine

4 Months (a little late) & Father's Day

Eliana turned 4 months on June 20...we're a bit tardy in posting due to our trip to Coeur D'Alene to cheer on Amy for her Iron man, but here are some fun clips of what our little Elle Belle has been up to lately. If you notice different outtakes for the 4 months, it's because we've had a crazy amount of drool and spit up happening and sometimes we remember the bib and sometimes we don't.

The stats for Elle Belle's 4 months:
-14 lbs 12 oz (exactly double her birth weight)
-24.5 in

It has been so amazing to watch the development in the last couple weeks. She puts everything in her mouth, she grabs everything, she looks for our voices when she can't see us, she notices a difference between Mom and Dad, she rolls over (from tummy to back), she giggles consistently and is a social bug. We love you, lil' punkin'.

Happy Father's Day! We love you so much!
