Tummy Time
It is so amazing to watch the difference in these videos. I had forgotten we took one so close to her birth and to see it contrasted to one only a few days ago is totally unbelievable. We love you, punkin'! We can't believe how much you're growing.

Growing
It is absolutely amazing to watch the development going on lately. Every day I feel like Eliana does something new (and of course, it's very exciting for us parents). For example, at REI the other day, I looked down and Eliana had grabbed the strap of her car seat and was chewing on it!! Holy hand-mouth coordination!!

What's so funny?
Sidenote: we heard her errupt in giggles and the only thing in the backseat was a burp cloth...go figure! It was so fun to hear her laughing while we packed up the car.
First Camping Trip
We headed to the Teanaway River, just outside of Cle Elum for Eliana's first camping experience. The weather was perfect and it felt so nice to get out of the city. There are a few things I will never forget from this trip:
1. The 2-hour bubble-blowing noises that Eliana made the whole car ride there. Nate and I laughed and laughed as she serenaded us from the back seat.
2. The three of us packed like sardines in our 2-man backpacking tent. Eliana slept like a queen, but it may have inspired us to get a more family-friendly tent.
3. The Saturday afternoon spent with Nate and Eliana as we sat alongside the river and enjoyed the beautiful place together as a family.
Thanks to Uncle James for my great pink hiking shirt
Does she look like a green gingerbread man? Thanks Aunt Steph, Uncle Ian and Max for my awesome bunting - it kept me so warm!
Hanging out by the river
A quick, but very rewarding hike to Red Top Mountain
Punkin' is missing her two sardines, but you can see how packed we were...and needless to say, she wasn't cold at all

Roll Over!!
Breaking news...Eliana rolled over for the first time today. She's been hard at work at her Tummy Time, but today she managed to tip herself over from tummy to back. She did it twice in a row and of course, on the third time for me grabbing the video camera, she was too tired. I'm not sure if she was more surprised by my reaction (jumping up and down and telling her how proud I was of her) or actually rolling over. Once I catch it on video, I'll post it. Good job, Elle Belle! We're so proud of you and Dad was bummed that he was on the plane to NYC, but he'll get to see it soon.

Time with Grandpa Dahlgren
Eliana was lucky to get a few extra days with Grandpa Dahlgren after the Memorial Day weekend. They played, read and had a great time. The one picture I wished I would have gotten was the diaper change that Grandpa did while Nate and I were out on a run. I'm not sure how he actually got it on that way, but it worked. Thanks, Grandpa, for taking such good care of Elle Belle. We miss love and miss you!
Hope for the upcoming CSU football season
Found the thumb! (and fingers, too!)
Going bald on top (but getting better at tummy time)
We spent the last day with Grandpa by taking a picnic to this park only a few blocks from us. What a beautiful day and great way to end our time together.

Memorial Day weekend
We had a wonderful time at the vacation rental in Cle Elum with Nana, Grandma and Grandpa. Although the weather was typical Seattle pre-July 4th weather (aka rainy), we still got out for some nice mornings of tea and coffee on the deck which was right on the upper Yakima River. The guys got in some fishing in the drift boat and we had lots of play time with Elle Belle. We only wish we lived closer to our families. Thanks for making the trip, we love you!

Although she didn't get a ride in the boat this time, we're all ready with Eliana's baby life jacket for the next float trip.

Meeting Nana for the First Time
Eliana finally got to meet her Nana over Memorial weekend. Nana was lucky enough to come to Seattle on business and got to spend the weekend with Eliana, loving every minute of it. Thank you for coming, Nana, Eliana can't wait to see you again soon and practice all the songs you taught her!
